Sturgeon Fishing on the Fraser a Big, Wet Hit!

Len Lowen

Even though it was just about as wet above the water line as it was below it, the sturgeon didn't seem to mind one little bit! 10 BCFA boats took to the waters of the Fraser River on Friday, October 16 for our second annual BC Formwork Association Fishing Day on our the quest for the Mighty, Mythical Sturgeon. The fishing was terrific and the friendship and camaraderie were outstanding. Our guide team from Reel Sturgeon Adventures got us to where the fish were biting and made sure we had a great day of fishing.

If you were there and have pics you'd like to add to our gallery, please forward them to and we'll post them for all to see!

Many thanks to all who participated and to those of you who may have been on the fence about joining your fellow BCFA members on the water, make sure you don't miss this outstanding event next year!

In this post, Len Loewen shares some important perspective as we head into the fall season of this very different year that is 2020. Len discusses how reviewing, evaluating and planning for the future are more important than ever in these tumultuous times!

Together we're stronger.

The BC Formwork Association was created based on the belief that a united voice could better represent the interests of concrete formwork organizations in British Columbia. Our industry is constantly changing with new rules and regulations impacting your ability to run your business efficiently and profitably. It's tough to go it alone and now you don't have to. The BCFA stands up for its members' interests with a mandate to represent our industry with construction industry regulatory bodies. There's strength in numbers and the BCFA will have your back with issues that impact your business.
